Job Description: The Tool Crib Technician is responsible for performing technical duties associated with SCMF Production tool crib.
Responsibilities:
· Polish Tooling using a lathe
· Mold various parts for Robot End of Arm tooling
· Operate 3D Printers
· Maintain tooling inventory for production manufacturing
· Use Work Order Travelers to stage tooling for production
· Maintain Production tools and equipment
· Dimensionally inspect diameters of parts
· Perform troubleshooting and diagnose assemblies for defects and repair
· Rebuild mechanical assemblies
· Ensure ability to: read blueprints and identify components
· Maintain critical spare inventory for production facility equipment, employee performs regular inventory counts
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Additional Responsibilities
· Operate surface grinder to resurface scarred tooling
· Operate hydraulic press for press fit assemblies
Experience and Skills
- No prior tool crib experience required
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are important
Training
- Training conducted on 1st shift before transitioning to 3rd shift
- NEST training completed in Houston area
Certifications
- TWIC card is helpful for faster ATF processing, but not a requirement
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
