Job Description: We are looking for a skilled phlebotomist to join the healthcare team . The role involves drawing blood from patients for medical tests, donations, or research; ensuring proper specimen handling; and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipunctures and skin punctures.
- Label and handle blood samples accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and follow safety protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort and verify information.
Job Requirements:
Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.*
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
Minimum of 6 months experience REQUIRED. One( ) year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
Customer service in a retail or service environment is preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
Additional Job Details: Candidate must have reliable transportation to get to/from the worksite without issue (bus, Uber, and rideshare are not reliable transportation). Must be available to work whenever scheduled, BE ON TIME, and stay for the entire shift. Excessive absenteeism/tardiness is not tolerated and will be cause for termination
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
