Atlantic Containment LLC is looking for a new addition to our growing team in McGaheysville, VA. Since 1992, we have been building the best in quality storage tank solutions for customers around the US. We are a full-time metal fabrication shop.
Job Summary:
· Fabricator/Welder with tack welding experience capable of welding 12-to-7-gauge HR carbon steel. Proficient in cutting, fitting, fabricating and MIG welding. Must be efficient in reading a shop drawing and following all criteria based on print to its specifications. Plasma cutting and shear / brake knowledge a plus. Knowledge of intricate flat plate bending and some metallurgy a plus for this position. Must be able to lift 45 lbs daily and use basic power tools (grinder, saw, drill, etc). Willing to train the right candidate with prior industrial shop welding experience. The interested applicant will be required to provide a welding test before hire, to prove all qualifications for this position can be meant.
· Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT required as needed) - Welding Area / Material Area
Job Requirements:
· 3 years of MIG welding experience (preferred)
· 3 years of fabrication shop experience (preferred)
· Industrial equipment knowledge required
· Grinder / Plasma / Drill Press knowledge required
· Carbon Steel knowledge required
· Metallurgy knowledge a plus
· Forklift certification preferred (not required)
· Truck loading / unloading experience preferred (not required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
