OVERVIEW:
CavCom is a leader in developing innovative hearing protection and communication solutions used across a variety of industries. We are seeking a Lab Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the production of custom hearing protection products, product testing, repairs, and quality control to ensure every product meets CavCom's high standards for performance, reliability, and craftsmanship. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
LAB & PRODUCTION:
- Create custom hearing protection products following established procedures and quality standards
- Process customer ear impressions
- Assist with product preparation, assembly, finishing, and inspection
- Perform testing and quality checks to ensure accuracy and performance
- Maintain accurate production documentation and records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab and production areas
- Identify defects and suggest process improvements
TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
- Perform basic electronic testing and troubleshooting
- Assist with repairs and rework of products
- Follow safety, quality, and procedural guidelines
COLLABORATION & SUPPORT:
- Coordinate with shipping and office staff to meet production timelines
- Assist with inventory labeling and tracking
- Support new product development, continuous improvement initiatives, and other projects as assigned

- Ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions
- Manual dexterity and comfort with hands-on, precision work
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

- Exhibit flexibility regarding job duties
- Experience in a lab, manufacturing, electronics, or medical device environment is a plus but not required (training provided)
POSITION OVERVIEW & COMPENSATION:
Full-time position (Monday – Friday, 7:15am-4:15pm)
Location: Walker, MN
Compensation based on experience
