What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drywall Technician position at Cavco Shippenville (Colony Homes)?
ABOUT THE ROLE
We currently have an opening for a Drywall Technician at our Shippenville Plant. This is an entry-level, full-time position. Positions include all aspects of the finishing of drywall manufactured houses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drywall Finishing (tape, coat, sand, paint, touch up).
- Carpet installation and Trim carpentry
- Works in a safe manner and follows all safety policies while performing job duties
- Maintains work area is kept clean and organized
- Follows work orders and instructions on finishing houses
- Maintains open communication with supervisor regarding safety concerns and assembly of building components
- Meeting weekly production goals individually and in a department setting per assigned Department
- May be cross-trained into other departments to ensure job knowledge progression and a balanced work force
- Performs various other job duties as assigned and needed
- Maintain a good attendance record
- Demonstrate a good work ethic based on principles of honesty and integrity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
MINIMUM QUALIFICIATIONS
- Construction or Warehouse Experience a plus but not required
- Flexible to work in a fast paced, changing environment
- Not afraid to get dirty and handle tools/equipment on a daily basis
- Ability to be trained and take direction
- Ability to work in a team with others
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- The scheduled work week is Monday thru Friday, occasional Overtime and Saturday work may be required
- Must have a reliable way to get to and from work
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
