Essential Job Functions:
- Actively supervises front-of-house team during service to ensure smooth execution and exceptional guest service.
- Demonstrates the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Assists in evaluating staffing levels during the shift and communicates with the manager regarding coverage needs or labor adjustments.
- Supports the Restaurant Manager by ensuring team members are clocked in and out accurately, and that timecards are reviewed and updated at the end of each shift.
- Partners with kitchen and service teams to ensure guest expectations are exceeded and all service standards are met.
- Leads daily pre-shift meetings to communicate service goals, menu changes, and special events.
- Provides real-time coaching and guidance to team members during service, and reports performance issues to the manager.
- Handles guest concerns or complaints in a gracious and professional manner, escalating issues to management when needed.
- Assists with executing large parties, private events, or special functions, ensuring smooth coordination between FOH and BOH.
- Supports training and onboarding of new staff by modeling service excellence and department standards.
- Strong leadership presence on the floor, maintaining composure and professionalism in all situations.
- Ability to deliver and uphold 5-star service standards, anticipating guest needs and creating memorable dining experiences.
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including preparation methods, wine, and spirits.
- Comfortable directing service flow and adapting to the needs of the dining room in real-time.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both guests and team members.
- Professional appearance and conduct required at all times.
- Demonstrates teamwork by supporting other F&B departments as needed.
- Responsible for cash handling at end-of-shift: closing servers, reconciling checkouts, and ensuring accuracy of transactions.
- Supports upkeep and updates in POS (e.g., item availability, menu changes) as directed by management.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or lead role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting.
- Working knowledge of front-of-house operations, guest service standards, and basic restaurant financials.
- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Micros), timekeeping systems, and basic office software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and meet all local employment requirements.
- Must have High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years or older.
