Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage facilities maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective repair and upkeep of mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and other building infrastructure.
- Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Oversee the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of complex mechanical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule preventive maintenance, track work orders, and manage asset records.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for team members.
- Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs, coordinating with contractors and vendors to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities using tools like Microsoft Office applications and Ohmmeter readings for electrical troubleshooting.
- Lead efforts in managing high voltage and low voltage electrical systems safely while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Monitor HVAC system performance; coordinate repairs or system upgrades to optimize energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems such as boilers, pumps, chillers, plumbing networks, and electrical panels to prevent failures.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations related to industrial maintenance procedures and facilities management policies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring team members in engineering troubleshooting techniques and maintenance best practices.
Skills
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams within a complex environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, plumbing networks, electrical systems (including high voltage), and mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to industrial maintenance operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for reporting, documentation, and project planning purposes.
- Experience managing facilities maintenance using CMMS software for scheduling work orders and asset management.
- Skilled in electrical testing tools such as Ohmmeters for circuit diagnosis; capable of handling both high voltage and low voltage electrical issues safely.
- Strong project management skills to coordinate repairs or upgrades efficiently while managing multiple priorities.
