Job Overview
Causeway Watersports is seeking a professional, safety-focused OUPV Captain to operate our tubing and dolphin tour vessel for the upcoming 2026 summer season. This is a full-time position; however part-time work is possible for the right candidate.
We are a fast-paced, customer service-driven watersports company located on the Nags Head–Manteo Causeway. The ideal candidate is a confident operator, calm under pressure, and committed to providing a safe and enjoyable guest experience.
Vessel
24’ Carolina Skiff, outfitted for tubing and dolphin tours.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vessel in the Roanoke Sound
- Conduct tubing trips and dolphin tours
- Provide clear safety briefings and customer instructions
- Monitor changing weather and water conditions
- Ensure all USCG and company safety protocols are followed
- Clean and maintain vessel and equipment daily
- Communicate professionally with guests and staff
Requirements
- Valid OUPV (6-Pack) License or greater
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification
- Enrollment in Random drug testing consortium
- Strong boat handling skills
- Comfortable speaking to and managing groups
- Professional appearance and attitude
