Kimmeridge’s vision in creating Caturus is to build the only independent, fully integrated natural gas and LNG export platform in the U.S. through a combination of its upstream operations under Caturus Energy, formerly Kimmeridge Texas Gas, and via Commonwealth LNG, a 9.5 million tonnes per annum liquefied natural gas export terminal in southwestern Louisiana on the U.S. Gulf Coast. The combined entities are committed to delivering responsibly sourced, low-emission fuel to domestic and international markets.
Caturus Energy is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the implementation and day-to-day execution of the company’s maintenance management program across upstream oil and gas operations. This role will oversee maintenance scheduling, coordinate with compressor and equipment vendors, and support Production operations through timely repairs, troubleshooting, and field modifications. The Maintenance Supervisor will play a key role in reducing equipment downtime, improving reliability, and ensuring safe, consistent maintenance practices across all assets.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead with Safety
- Make safety the foundation of all maintenance decisions and activities.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine field safety checks, follow up on corrective actions, and support stop work authority among staff and contractors.
Take Ownership of Assigned Assets
- Treat assigned facilities, equipment, and assets as your own.
- Take ownership of the CMMS application rollout.
- Ensure all work sites are organized, compliant, and well-maintained during work and after work is completed.
- Verify personnel and contractors onsite are performing authorized work safely and following procedures.
Maintenance Planning and Execution
- Develop, maintain, and enforce preventative maintenance schedules.
- Lead planning meetings to prioritize maintenance work, coordinate resources, and optimize costs.
- Coordinate with Production Operations, Automation, Engineering and service providers to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Support equipment overhauls, replacements, and optimization projects.
Operational Oversight and Direction
- Supervise, coach, and mentor maintenance personnel to ensure proper technical execution and adherence to procedures.
- Partner with Production Operations, Facilities, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot failures and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements or process enhancements.
- Identify high-risk or repetitive failures and support root-cause analysis (RCA).
Data Integrity and Reporting
- Lead the rollout and use of the CMMS, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Maintain accurate maintenance histories, work orders, and documentation in the CMMS.
- Review and validate maintenance reports, work details, and cost coding for accuracy.
Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate clearly and proactively with field personnel, corporate teams, contractors, and leadership.
- Provide updates on maintenance activities, operational status, and potential risks.
- Foster collaboration across teams to achieve operational excellence and minimize downtime.

- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance practices, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Encourage innovation, feedback, and new ideas from field personnel.

Qualifications:
Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- 15 years in Upstream oil and gas production operations required
- 5 years of experience in a maintenance role required
- Previous leadership experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong hands-on knowledge of compressors, rotating equipment, upstream oil and gas mechanical systems, and upstream oil and gas production equipment.
- Experience implementing and using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Proven ability to supervise maintenance personnel, coordinate contractors, and lead field teams.
- Solid knowledge of safety practices, maintenance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, track maintenance-related spend, and support cost control initiatives.
