Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling and service.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables efficiently.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness in service areas, adhere to sanitation protocols, and follow proper food safety procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience in fast paced food service or restaurant environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and check splitting.
