Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling and service.
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables efficiently.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable.
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness in service areas, adhere to sanitation protocols, and follow proper food safety procedures.

Skills

• Proven experience in fast paced food service or restaurant environments
• Strong knowledge of POS systems
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and check splitting.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
• Experience with serving in high-volume environments is advantageous.
