Job Summary
Wrangler is responsible for handling, caring for, and safely managing livestock during rodeo events. Skilled in herding cattle and horses, loading and unloading animals, maintaining pens and equipment, and ensuring the safety of riders, staff, spectators, and animals. Assist with arena setup and breakdown, support event operations, and work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment while following safety procedures.
Duties
- Load and unload livestock safely for transport
- Herding and moving animals between holding pens, chutes, and the arena
- Inspecting fences, gates, chutes, and pens to ensure they are safe and secure.
- Assist in arena setup and breakdown
- Monitoring animal health and reporting injuries or concerns to supervisors
- Feed, water, and groom animals as needed
