Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Golf Shop Merchandiser role based in Auburn, CA. The Golf Shop Merchandiser is responsible for presenting and maintaining an appealing, organized golf shop that enhances the member and guest experience. Daily activities include receiving, tagging, and displaying merchandise; monitoring inventory levels; and assisting with stock rotation and seasonal floor sets. The role supports sales by engaging with customers, recommending golf equipment and apparel, and processing transactions accurately. The Golf Shop Merchandiser also collaborates with the golf professional staff on product selection, promotional displays, special orders, and tournament merchandise, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming retail environment. The Merchandiser will also assist with daily golf shop duties.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including excellent Communication and Customer Service abilities.
- Working knowledge of Golf and Golf Equipment, with the ability to advise members and guests on appropriate purchases

- Experience in retail merchandising, inventory management, or pro shop operations, preferably in a golf or country club setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move merchandise, and maintain an organized retail space.
- Comfort using point-of-sale systems and basic office software for transactions and inventory tracking.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in retail, hospitality, or golf operations are an advantage.
