Overview
We are looking for a general carpenter to join our team. This position would be Monday-Thursday, with a set schedule of 7am-5pm with an occasional Friday. Projects include the construction of garages, pole barns, residential and some commercial dwellings as well as smaller projects that involve remodeling, roof jobs, porches, etc.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, organization, and cleanup of construction sites
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely.
- Read construction drawings
- Support carpentry tasks such as door hanging, trim carpentry, framing, and cabinetry installation.
- Perform demolition, restoration work, or remodeling tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Aid in concrete forming, finishing, stucco application and masonry work.
- Participate in construction inspection activities to ensure quality standards are met throughout the process or coordinate with local inspector
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with plumbing and electrical systems
- Support schematics interpretation for installation of systems like HVAC or electrical wiring; help coordinate with subcontractors when necessary.
- Organization, communication, and ability to manage projects required
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related roles is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and basic blueprint reading is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction management principles or estimating processes is a plus but not mandatory.
