Catoosa Small Animal Hospital has been locally owned and operated since 1980. We are a high volume Veterinary Hospital with 9 Doctors on staff as well as over 40 full time employees. Our hospital is currently seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to help provide outstanding client service and compassionate care in a high energy, fast paced, multi Doctor animal hospital. Previous Veterinary experience is not required, but a positive attitude and customer service is a must! Our goal at Catoosa Small Animal Hospital is to provide the highest quality of patient care and treatment while also delivering exceptional service to our wonderful clients!
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome all clients as soon as they arrive
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Schedule appointments
- Communicate client needs and questions to appropriate staff members
- Provide basic and accurate information in person and over the phone
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
- Be an "expert communicator" and have the ability to speak clearly and concisely
Skills:
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (is appreciated!)
- Professional attitude and appearance (we do provide an allowance for work attire after 90 days of employment)
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
The starting pay range for the Receptionist position is from $12 to $16 an hour. We do offer a scrub/uniform allowance to our employees for them to use on uniform requirements. After 90 days of employment we offer health insurance benefits, and after the first year of employment we offer 401k access, paid time off and quarterly bonuses.
