Duties

• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow across all departments
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management
• Manage inventory control, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to maximize sales opportunities
• Implement sales strategies and promotional activities to meet or exceed sales targets
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
• Supervise cashiering functions, including cash handling, POS transactions, and balancing registers
• Coordinate shift schedules, manage payroll records, and oversee employee orientation and training programs

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong skills in negotiation, employee recruitment, interviewing, and team development
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory, merchandising, and store operations simultaneously
• Proficiency in retail math, POS systems, budgeting, and cash handling procedures
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience supervising staff and managing store performance
• Exceptional communication skills paired with a friendly phone etiquette to engage customers and team members alike
• Prior experience in grocery or specialty retail stores is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in bookkeeping and administrative duties
