Responsibilities

• Assist stylists with hair styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care services to ensure efficient client appointments
• Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and maintaining a professional atmosphere
• Support retail sales efforts through upselling products such as hair care items, makeup, and retail accessories using retail math techniques
• Maintain salon sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and ensuring proper sterilization of equipment like straight razors and other tools
• Operate salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking, client records, and sales tracking
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience
• Assist with store management tasks including inventory checks, restocking retail shelves, and supporting overall store operations
• Mentor new team members by sharing knowledge of color theory, hair coloring techniques, and current beauty trends
• Support the team in performing hair threading and makeup application services as needed
• Engage clients with personalized consultations to promote services like barbering or specialized hair treatments

Experience

• Previous experience in a salon or barbershop environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
• Knowledge of salon software platforms such as MINDBODY or similar systems is advantageous
• Familiarity with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application will set you apart
• Strong communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members
• Basic understanding of sanitation practices within a beauty setting to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
• Experience in retail sales or upselling techniques to enhance client satisfaction while increasing revenue opportunities
• A background in cosmetology or barbering is a plus but not mandatory; ongoing training will be provided for the right candidate
