Role Description The Store Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in Kalamazoo, MI. The Store Manager oversees all daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, merchandising, inventory control, and maintaining store standards. This role leads, trains, and schedules store team members to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales goals. The Store Manager monitors key performance indicators, manages cash handling and banking, and implements company policies, visual guidelines, and promotional plans. The position is also responsible for minimizing shrink, supporting loss prevention initiatives, and fostering an inclusive, safe, and engaging work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a commitment to creating a positive shopping experience.
- Effective Communication skills for engaging with customers, coaching team members, and collaborating with district and corporate partners.
- Proven Store Management experience in retail, including staffing, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices and the ability to implement procedures that reduce shrink and protect company assets.
- Additional beneficial qualifications: experience with visual merchandising and inventory management; basic proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office; ability to stand, move, and lift merchandise as needed; availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; and prior fashion retail management experience.
