We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Assistant Manager to join our team. This leadership role is vital in ensuring smooth store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a comprehensive understanding of retail processes, and the ability to motivate and develop staff. Previous assistant manager experience is preferred, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. Duties

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and motivate staff to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance customer satisfaction
• Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity
• Support recruiting efforts through interviewing and employee orientation processes
• Assist with payroll processing, bookkeeping, and maintaining financial records
• Coordinate purchasing activities and manage vendor relationships for inventory procurement
• Implement marketing strategies and promotional activities to increase store traffic and sales
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health standards
• Train new employees and provide ongoing development opportunities for team members
• Manage shift schedules, sales management tasks, pricing strategies, and retail math calculations

Skills

• Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills
• Proficiency in negotiation, purchasing, inventory management, and store merchandising
• Exceptional communication skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence
• Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Skilled in retail math, sales management, budgeting, and pricing strategies
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and retail software tools
• Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of marketing techniques, stock management, inventory control, and promotional planning
• Ability to train & develop staff while fostering a positive team environment
• Strong time management skills with the capability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Administrative experience including bookkeeping, payroll processing, and record keeping
