Sonographer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RDMS ultrasound tech to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physiology and anatomy, along with expertise in sonography techniques. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and collaborating with medical professionals to provide high-quality patient care. The Ultrasonographer will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients through the use of ultrasound technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations on patients in an Ob/Gyn practice
• Utilize appropriate sonography techniques to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to safety protocols during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns.
• Document findings accurately and collaborate with physicians regarding patient care.
• Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in diagnostic radiology.
• Ensure proper maintenance of ultrasound equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any questions or needs.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Ultrasonographer or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
• Familiarity with Ob/Gyn ultrasound practices is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
• Ability to demonstrate patience and empathy while providing care to patients.

Pay: $35.00 - $36.00 per hour
