What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Social Worker/Therapist position at Catholic Social Services of the U.P?
RESPONSIBILITIES (CLINICAL):
1. Plan, organize and provide direct services to clients and their families as is consistent with the missions of the Agency, under the direction provided by the Agency Executive Director.
2. Maintain professional case records.
3. Consult and cooperate with the Local Office Supervisor in matters concerning clinical issues and procedures.
4. Make appropriate recommendations regarding programs, policies and practices.
5. Participate in professional development and educational workshops and conferences with the approval of the Local Office Supervisor.
6. Participate in educational internship programs for social worker students, aides, paraprofessionals and other disciplines as appropriate to the mission of the Local Office with the approval of the Local Office Supervisor.
7. Assist the Local Office Supervisor in implementing the Agency’s Quality Improvement Program.
8. Adhere to the Agency’s and Professional’s Code of Ethics.
9. Support the mission, goals and objectives of the Agency.
10. Provide an average of five hours of direct services to clients per day.
11. Provide 1100 hours of direct services to clients on an annual basis. (Assumes a full time position)
12. Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Local Office Supervisor, as is consistent with the mission of the Agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. LMSW and clinical experience preferred; Or LLMSW.
2. CAADC or the ability to obtain a CAADC certification with the State of Michigan.
CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS:
1. Michigan LMSW and CAADC within two years of employment.
2. Maintain other certifications as required and appropriate by the State of Michigan.
3. An awareness and sensitivity of the particular cultural aspects of the population in the local area. For example, children, the elderly, Native Americans, etc.
