School Bus Driver

Catholic Partnership Schools, Camden, NJ, is in need of a bus driver to transport elementary and middle school-aged students to extracurricular activities in Camden and Pennsauken, as well as local field trips. There is one position open, and it can be part-time OR full-time, depending on the driver

Applicants must be available Monday-Thursday from 2:00pm-5pm from September through June (excluding holidays and school breaks),

Part-Time Position: This is a great option for someone who wants a more flexible schedule. In a typical week, you’ll work 12-20 hours, with some weeks going up to 35 hours (this is rare) if there are field trips scheduled. You will only be asked to complete duties related to the bus, such as taking it for inspection, fueling and cleaning it, and performing general upkeep. The part-time position will be paid at a higher hourly rate, and does not receive benefits.

Full-Time Position: Where the bus is concerned, the full-time responsibilities are the same as the part-time responsibilities. However, to make the position full-time, you will be asked to take on administrative duties for CPS that match your skill set, such as answering phones, data entry, filing, general maintenance, etc. If you are full-time, you'll work an average of 30 hours per week (usually between the hours of 8am and 5pm) and you'll be offered health, vision, and dental insurance.

Qualifications: To qualify, you must possess a current NJ CDL license class B or above with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements. Must also pass required physicals and background checks and be able to perform the duties below:

Duties:

- Safely operate a bus or van to transport passengers to their destinations
- Follow designated routes and schedules
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the bus, if needed.
- Communicate with Program Coordinator to report delays, accidents, or other incidents
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and maintenance of the bus
