Job Summary
We are seeking a combined SUD Peer Recovery Coach & Prevention Specialist to provide peer-based support services and deliver community prevention services in Crawford County. This unique dual-role position combines lived experience in recovery with prevention education to reduce the impact of substance use disorders (SUD) in the community.
Duties
Peer Recovery Coach (70%)
- Provide peer support and recovery coaching to individuals with SUD.
- Offer outreach in hospitals, jails, SUD programs, and community settings.
- Assist clients in navigating recovery services, housing, employment, and more.
- Advocate for and empower individuals through their recovery journey.
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold strict confidentiality.
- Conduct follow-up contacts and track client outcomes.
- Work flexible hours including evenings/weekends as needed.
Prevention Specialist (30%)
- Deliver evidence-based prevention education, including naloxone training and prescription drug safety.
- Collaborate with local coalitions such as the Crawford Partnership to End Substance Misuse.
- Organize and participate in prevention campaigns, trainings, and events.
- Track and report outcomes to ensure grant compliance.
Requirements
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Some college experience; Peer Recovery Coach Training (or completion post-hire).
- Knowledge of local recovery and prevention resources.
- Strong communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $37,000.00 per year
