Job Details
The Telephone Operator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls on our Avaya Switchboard, as well as monitoring hospital safety systems
Responsibilities of the Telephone Operator include:
- Operates console and responds to all calls promptly
- Operator is familiar with codes and alarms
- Operator is knowledgeable on activation of beeper
- Performs duties within the Telecommunications department
- Complies with dress code
- Conducts him or herself in a professional manner on behalf of MMC
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Operator handles patient information correctly
- Operator is familiar with codes and alarms
- Operator is knowledgeable on activation of beeper(s)
- Performs duties within the Telecommunications department
- Conducts herself or himself in a professional manner on behalf of MMC
- Complies with dress code
- Accepts additional duties as needed
Requirements for the Telephone Operator role include:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Prior experience with switchboard operations preferred
- Excellent oral communications skills required.
Salary Range
Starting from USD $25.44/Hr.
