Summary:

Primary responsibilities include coordination of all scheduled and nonscheduled services for the movement of specimens, reports, payroll, banking, and other materials between Catholic Health (CH) hospitals, patient service centers and the Central Laboratory. Assist Manager Logistics & Customer Service with compilation and maintenance of departmental statistical data and policy and procedure development and implementation.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

• High School diploma or equivalent
  
  

Experience

• Two (2) years driving experience as a courier or professional driver preferred
• Familiarity with the Buffalo/Western New York area
• Two (2) years experience in a customer oriented position that required direct customer interaction to include problem solving skills, access to services, etc. preferred
  
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Must possess a valid NYS Drivers License with no moving violation convictions
• Clean driving record as defined in the Arrests, Convictions and Criminal Background Checks policy, HR-105-EMP
• Able to work well in stressful situations
• Consistently demonstrate a confident and professional manner to coworkers and the public
• Able to work safely with infectious and/or hazardous materials
• Ability to prioritize and problem solve
• A courier must be Customer focused and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
  
  

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
• Position may require transporting various types of equipment, supplies, records, infectious/hazardous materials
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
