Job Details
Responsibilities:
• Determine appropriateness of examinations and contact physicians to clarify or modify orders when necessary
• Prep patients for exams by communicating with care teams
• Transfer patients on/off exam tables
• Transport patients when necessary
• Answer telephones in a timely manner
• Communicates with professionalism at all times
• For outpatients, check prescriptions to ensure patient demographics are correct, physician signature present, and reason for exam listed
• For inpatients, check requisitions for accuracy, including verify patient identification, physician's signature, and diagnosis
• Arrange transport in and out of the department
• Update technologists with appointment status (cancellations, changes, etc).
• Stock exam rooms
Requirements:
Current Radiology students preferred
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year experience preferred
Excellent communication skills; computer skills also required
Prior hospital experience preferred
Salary Range
USD $20.26 - USD $28.36 /Hr.
