Nurse Practitioner – Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine

CHPP Woodbury is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine practice in Woodbury, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and patient-centered team led by Dr. Arthur Lowy, providing high-quality care to an adult patient population.

About Dr. Lowy

Dr. Arthur Lowy is a board-certified gastroenterologist based in Syosset and Woodbury, NY. He graduated from Stony Brook University Renaissance School of Medicine in 1989, completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in 1992, and completed a Fellowship in Internal Medicine at Westchester County Medical Center in 1995.

Dr. Lowy is board-certified in:

• Internal Medicine (ABIM, 1992)
• Gastroenterology (ABIM, 1997)

With extensive experience in GI disorders, digestive disease management, and adult internal medicine, Dr. Lowy is known for his thorough diagnostic approach, clinical excellence, and commitment to compassionate patient-centered care.

About the Role

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient evaluation, ongoing management of GI and internal medicine conditions, and coordination of care across our outpatient practice. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and comfortable functioning with a high level of autonomy while collaborating closely with the physician and multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits for GI and internal medicine concerns
• Perform clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage medications
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests
• Provide pre- and post-procedure education and coordinate referrals
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with Dr. Arthur Lowy and the care team to ensure high-quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in NYS
• Certification is required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (NP)
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• DEA certification (or eligibility)
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine strongly preferred
• Experience in primary care or related adult medicine specialties acceptable
• New graduates welcome to apply with strong interest in GI

Salary : $70 - $93
