Summary:

Receive bank deposits and credit appropriate accounts/clients on a timely and accurate basis. This position has responsibility for the managing of cash collection. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Receives bank deposits and explanations of benefits, including:
• Direct bank deposits/Lockboxes
• Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) deposits
• Online Sources
• Via courier or post from clients
• Accurately posts deposits to assigned clients/sites on a timely basis.
• Utilizes several different types of billing computer systems to process deposits.
• Balances deposits using a specific identification with final paperwork submitted to the accounting department.
• Handles special processes including:
• Credit Card processing and posting
• Post Collection payments
• May assist other payment posters with processing deposits at month end and as needed.
• Completes all posting for assigned clients prior to month end close.
• This occasionally may require posters to stay late to ensure all work is complete for month end.
• Stamp dates and sort deposits to proper sites/bins.
• Performs other duties as requested.
  
  

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

• High School diploma
  
  

Experience

• At least one (1) year of third-party billing experience
  
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Strong data entry and computer skills (MS word and excel preferred)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in examining documents for accuracy and completeness
• Strong analytical skills to accurately complete reconciliation of cash
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills
• Ability to work well with others
• Dependable in both production and attendance
