BEAUTICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for Beauty shop services to be provided to all residents without regard to sex, race, age, religion, handicap, or sponsor. At the request of the resident and/or responsible party and following all safety guidelines to ensure resident/patient and environmental safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed cosmetologist in New York State: The practice of "cosmetology" means providing service to the hair, head, face, neck or scalp of a human being, including but not limited to shaving, trimming, and cutting the hair or beard either by hand or mechanical appliances and the application of antiseptics, powders, oils, clays, lotions or applying tonics to the hair, head, or scalp, and in addition includes providing, for a fee or any consideration or exchange, whether direct or indirect, services for the application of dyes, reactive chemicals, or other preparations to alter the color or to straighten, curl, or alter the structure of the hair of a human being. The employee is responsible to maintain their license in good standing for the duration of their employment. The beautician will supply the facility with a copy of beautician license and any updates or revisions issued.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion of New York Board of Cosmetology License Requirements and New York State Cosmetology Board examination. Experience working within a skilled nursing facility preferred.
Salary Range
USD $40.12 - USD $40.12 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
