Role Summary
The purpose of this position is to perform daily accounting functions, including general ledger & regulatory filings, financial reporting & analysis, and other responsibilities as needed. A high level of initiative, attention to detail, and analytical skills are necessary. The primary focus of this role is daily operations, general ledger reconciliations, and regulatory filings.
Responsibilities:
Performs daily operations activities that could include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash Reconciliations
Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities:
Performs daily operations activities that could include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash Reconciliations
- Assists with the daily cash management with the banks
- Assist with balancing cash to transactions
- Assists with Voids/Reissues/ACH Returns/NOC (Notice of Change on EFT)
- Assist with Check Printing
- Assist with Unclaimed Property Filings
- Assists with posting payments to the Policy Administration System
- Completes requirements for annual audit of organization’s Financial Statements
Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of accounting experience, familiarity with the financial services industry a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with high level of professionalism
- Self-starter with excellent teamwork skills and an innate sense of urgency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn proprietary software
- Technical Learning: Picks up on technical things quickly; can learn new skills and knowledge; is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge; does well in technical courses and seminars.
