What We Are Looking For
As Mackay's newest Catholic College expands into its fifth year, we are inviting applications from skilled and enthusiastic educators to commence
January 2026
. We are seeking teachers willing and able to teach at all levels of secondary schooling with particular emphasis on experience in the senior years would be an advantage.

Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of Catherine McAuley College. There is a full-time continuing position and a part-time contract for Semester 1, 2026.

Education
Exciting opportunities exist for qualified and enthusiastic educators for a combination of the following subject areas in Junior and Senior Secondary Education:

• Learning Support
• Science
• HPE (1.5 hpw part-time contract for Semester 1, 2026 only)

About Us
Catherine McAuley College
opened its doors in 2022, in order to meet the growing demand for a quality, Catholic Education in the Mackay region. Starting with pioneering Year 7's in 2022, they will grow into a complete Years 7 to 12 profile by 2027.

Built on the former site of the historic Mackay Sugar Research Institute, our brand new college offers first class facilities to cater for staff and students to ensure the delivery of quality teaching and learning practices.

Mandatory Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
• Australian work rights
