Job Responsibilities
- Assist teacher in planning, designing, and implementing curriculum.
- Provide assistance as directed by the lead teacher.
- Instruct classroom in accordance with lesson plans.
- Assist in the supervision of students directed by the lead teacher.
- Assist students during lunchtime.
- Implement age-appropriate activities and monitor safety throughout.
- Maintain student records and perform other clerical duties as directed.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom.
- Assist students in social skills development.
- Assist in putting up bulletin boards.
- Assist in student bathroom breaks.
- Take attendance and make copies as directed by the lead teacher.
- Operate equipment such as projectors, iPad, and computers.
- Assist in maintaining classroom management plan.
- Prepare and distribute work as directed by the lead teacher.
- Provide guidance and redirection as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and pleasant under stressful circumstances.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Excellent communication skills.
