Overview
St. John Neumann Catholic High School, within the Diocese of Venice in Florida, Inc. works diligently to support and strengthen the Catholic Church and its value system. By word and example teachers support all of the official religious teachings of the Catholic Church throughout their personal and professional lives.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and complete student academic records in accordance with Diocesan and state requirements.
- Manages student enrollment, registration, transfers, and withdrawals.
- Prepares and processes transcripts, report cards, and official school records.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and Diocesan policies regarding student records and confidentiality (FERPA).
- Assists with scheduling processes and with course registration.
- Verifies graduation requirements and tracks student progress toward completion.
- Collaborates with administration, counselors, and faculty to ensure accuracy of student data.
- Manages student information systems and ensures data integrity.
- Responds to requests for records, transcripts, and enrollment verification.
- Assists with standardized testing coordination and reporting as needed.
- Maintains secure and organized filing systems for both digital and physical records.
- Communicates effectively with students, parents, faculty, and external institutions.
- Supports admissions and guidance departments as needed.
- Actively participates in faculty/staff meetings and school events.
- Upholds and supports the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of a high school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous experience in school administration, registrar work, or data management preferred.
• Knowledge of student information systems (SIS) and database management.
• Understanding of FERPA and student record confidentiality requirements.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Pass a FDLE Level 2 background check.
