Job Responsibilities
- Assist teacher in implementing curriculum.
- Provide assistance as directed for classroom/gym in accordance with lesson plans.
- Assist in the supervision of students directed by the lead teacher.
- Implement age-appropriate activities and monitor safety throughout.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom/gym.
- Assist students in social skills development.
- Take attendance and make copies as directed by the lead teacher.
- Assist in maintaining classroom/gym management plan.
- Prepare and distribute work/activities as directed by the lead teacher.
- Provide guidance and redirection as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience working with children.
- Strong communications skills both written and oral.
- Ability to work with children from Pre-Kindergarten through Middle School.
- Proficiency with computer network systems and software programs.
- Ability to use technology to enhance student learning.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Undergoing a FDLE Level 2 background check.
