Overview
St. Bernard Parish in Holmes Beach is seeking a reliable and hands-on part-time Maintenance Associate who will be responsible for planning and managing all aspects of maintenance for parish buildings and property.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops schedules for building maintenance, cleaning, sanitation, ordering of supplies and general upkeep of parish property.
- Performs routine electrical, lighting, plumbing, carpentry repairs, etc. along with preventative maintenance.
- Provides general oversight of all contracts and activities pertaining to plant operations including routine maintenance, new construction, renovation, remodeling and any special services.
- Responds to emergency calls 24 hours a day.
- Responsible for building campus fire and security operations.
- Performs recording keeping activities.
- Other duties as assigned by Pastor or Business manager.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have basic maintenance skills.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stretch, reach.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
- Physically capable of climbing ladders in a safe manner.
- Self-motivated individual able to work independently.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule to include weekends.
- Must pass Level II FDLE background check .
- Valid drivers license.
- Must pass a post offer physical exam.
