Job Title: Faith Formation Coordinator, K-10

Reports to: Pastor 

Location:  San Pedro Church | North Port FL

Classification: Salaried/Exempt  

Overview   

The Faith Formation Coordinator will assist with planning, implementation, and evaluate various components of San Pedro Catholic Church K–10  Faith Formation.

Responsibilities

• Administer K-10 Faith Formation program, including sacramental preparation (Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Communion, Confirmation).
• Maintain ParishSoft Faith Formation module for this program.
• Coordinate the recruitment and training of catechists and volunteers.
• Collaborate and communicate with the Pastor and parish staff and organizations on a regular basis regarding scheduling and promotion of events related to K-10 catechetical programs.
• Schedule catechist and parent meetings to encourage the development of a catechetical faith community.
• Meet the requirements of safe environment policies regarding Safe Environment Training for Youth
• Attend Diocesan meetings related to Religious Education and Safe Environment Programs
• Other Faith Formation programming and/or administrative work as needed or assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Religious Education, Theology or Catechetics and Evangelization or related work experience
• Must be a practicing Roman Catholic.
• Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
• Computer skills especially in Microsoft Office, Teams.
• Collaborative/Team player.
• Ability to work on scheduled nights and weekends.
