Overview
St. Andrew Catholic School is seeking an After School Assistant. This is a non-instructional position for the school year. This part-time position requires approximately 15 hours per week in the afternoon. As an aftercare assistant, you will assist in the supervision of students in grades Pk3-8 in the school's aftercare program.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise students during all after-school activities.
- Ability to work with various age/grade groups.
- Aids students with homework.
- Implements age-appropriate activities.
- Monitors safety for students always.
- Accompanies younger students to the restroom.
- Maintains discipline and decorum.
- Maintains a clean and organized classroom.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Previous childcare experience preferred.
- Maintain a calm nature in a sometimes-chaotic environment.
