Clothing Closet Associate
Collaborating with an extensive number of funders, volunteers, and supporters, Catholic Community Services of Lane County (CCSLC) is a 70-year-old 501(c)(3) social services agency dispensing the largest volume of no-cost basic assistance- food, utilities, clothing- to individuals and families living in poverty throughout Lane County. We foster a “whatever it takes” approach with the case management and housing navigation services we provide to our unhoused neighbors. As well, our Refugee & Immigrant Services Program is rapidly growing and is the only Mid-Willamette Valley team offering a coordinated effort of legal assistance, wrap around supportive services and employment connections to refugees and immigrants who arrive in our community. POSITION TITLE: Clothing Closet Associate
SUMMARY:
Lead our unique Clothing Closet team! The Associate will oversee the day-to-day operations of our free community Clothing Closet, lead and guide committed volunteers, create a warm and welcoming environment and a seamless shopping experience for all guests, and oversee the donation intake process.
REPORTS TO: Associate Director, Community Services Centers
WORK LOCATION: Springfield, OR-1025 G St.
FLSA STATUS/ /HOURS: Non-Exempt, 25 hours/week, M-F, 8:30am-1:30pm
COMPENSATION: $19/Hour
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to work closely with a diverse volunteer group, with patience and respect
- Demonstrated ability to provide services in a trauma‑informed, client‑centered environment, with sensitivity to their complex experiences
- Ability to treat diverse populations with dignity and respect
- Six-months to one-year experience working with diverse clients
- Six-months to one-year experience working with volunteers or similar preferred
- One-year experience in a retail position or similar customer service role
- Six-months to one-year experience working with volunteers or similar preferred
- Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
- Have an eye for clothing and ability to develop an attractive and functional Clothing Closet space
- Ability to prioritize work and responsibilities of others
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn new systems
- High School diploma or equivalent
