What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Foster Care Family Advocate position at Catholic Charities Washtenaw County?
Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week, position available assisting the Foster Care team and clients in Washtenaw, Jackson, Hillsdale, and surrounding counties. The Foster Care Family Advocate monitors visits with birth families and transports program clients.
Position requires a high school diploma. This would be the perfect position for someone working on their social work degree and a great way to obtain some experience in your field of study. Other qualifications include but are not limited to, excellent computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Word, and the internet, and the ability to work independently and exercise good judgment. Requires ability to relate to diverse populations and cultures.
Reliable transportation and valid Michigan driver’s license are required due to frequent travel to Washtenaw, Jackson, Hillsdale, and Branch counties. Requires flexible schedule. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Total compensation includes mileage reimbursement, comprehensive benefit plan with employer contribution, 401k retirement option, plus paid time off with paid holiday schedule that includes the week between Christmas and New Year’s.
