Position Summary
The Satellite Senior Dining Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the health, connection, and well-being of older adults within our community. This position oversees the daily operations of assigned Catholic Charities Senior Dining locations—including rural sites—to ensure welcoming, high-quality service for all diners.
Key Responsibilities
Site & Program Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned Senior Dining sites in alignment with program policies and procedures.
- Welcome, register, and engage with diners to create a warm, friendly, and supportive atmosphere.
- Provide information and referrals to additional community services when appropriate.
Recordkeeping & Administration
- Track and report meals served and maintain accurate activity records.
- Complete documentation for Insurance/Waiver meals and ensure proper authorizations are obtained.
- Record diner contributions and process deposits.
- Order non-food supplies and submit weekly reports to the Senior Dining administrative office.
Volunteer Coordination
- Recruit, schedule, and support volunteers to help deliver a positive Senior Dining experience.
- Maintain clear communication and ensure volunteers understand their roles.
Social & Wellness Programming
- Plan and promote social, health, and wellness activities for diners.
- Communicate regularly with participants to keep them engaged and informed.
Community Outreach & Marketing
- Promote the Senior Dining Program through local media, community partners, and public events.
- Represent Catholic Charities at senior expos, fairs, government meetings, and other community gatherings.
Meals on Wheels Coordination
- Oversee and assess the Meals on Wheels program for assigned areas.
- Conduct annual in-home assessments to determine eligibility.
- Connect clients with additional community resources when needed.
Food Service Support
- Set up on-site meal service and ensure food safety standards—including temperature requirements—are met.
- Track additional food items and coordinate returns to the meal production site.
Qualifications
Education/Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Job Related Experience: Minimum of Two (2) Years' of related experience
