Member Services Representative is responsible for providing front desk operations to clients and customers for all programs of the Mamie George Community Center. The successful candidate will demonstrate professional and positive customer service.
What you Deliver
- Operates switchboard functions of computerized telephone system and facilitating communications between staff members.
- Enrolls new members, collecting fees, obtaining financial and demographic data.
- Develops and maintains membership enrollment, recruitment, and retention programs
- Maintains workroom(s) with office supplies and agency forms. Requires contact with staff, clients, members, volunteers, and the general public by telephone or in-person.
- Contacts Facilities Manager regarding assistance with In-kind donations or any needed facility maintenance.
- Assists with special organizational projects/events, etc.
- Attends staff meetings, staff trainings, and other duties as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The Expertise We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two (2) years of experience in customer services
- First Aid and CPR certifications or must be able to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Bilingual in Spanish in English.

- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience providing professional and positive customer service
- Demonstrated experience on computerized telephone system
- Demonstrated success in dealing with a diverse population and demographics, including seniors
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a polite, respectable demeanor in stressful situations
- Ability to work with all populations with great compassion and dignity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to change
- Ability to handle confidential information
