Our service area includes 24 counties throughout Central Kentucky.

Non-Exempt/Hourly Position: $24.00/hour
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Resource Referral Specialist reflects Catholic Charities’ dedication to ensuring no client falls through the cracks during these unprecedented times by connecting clients with community resources. The Resource Referral Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with community partners, including community ministries, food banks, and other organizations that provide assistance to those in need.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
1. Perform outreach to potential community partners and build working relationships with these resource providers.
2. Locate and access emergency food resources for clients (e.g., food pantries, community meals, culturally appropriate distributions).
3. Apply for utility assistance programs (e.g., LIHEAP, city-funded emergency support, nonprofit aid).
4. Navigate housing assistance systems, including rental support, homelessness prevention programs, and landlord mediation services.
5. Help perform Housing case management assessments and follow-ups.
6. Support the agency’s effort of clients receiving ongoing coaching on budgeting, resource renewal, and self-advocacy to reduce long-term dependency.
7. All other duties assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree is preferred, but high school diploma or GED is required.
Two years of relevant work experience, preferably with people of various cultures.
Community relationship-building experience desired.
