Job position description:
As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor – Prison Based, you will conduct individual and group services in the prison, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) contract and Catholic Charities JLHC agency policy.
We are looking for a committed worker to join our team who will focus on helping prisoners get the services and support needed to be reintegrated into society. At Catholic Charities we are focused on making this experience supportive, and informative, as well as providing prisoners with appropriate evidenced-based skills that can lead to long-lasting recovery.
The ideal candidate is someone who has earned their bachelor’s degree and is looking for some quality career experience. This position is paid by the services that are provided in the prison and can range between $45,000 – $80,000 per year with paid training to ensure you’ll learn the skills needed to succeed.
