What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Literacy Program Manager position at Catholic Charities of Central Colorado, Inc.?

To establish and manage a digital literacy program at Catholic Charities of Central Colorado. The program will provide access to technology and training in using that technology in order to enhance the stability of individuals and families. The two elements of programming include classes in digital literacy and technical support to individuals using technology. The computer lab at the Hanifen Center and a mobile classroom will be used in delivering the program.

Essential Duties
Coordinate classes to be delivered at Sand Creek Library and Ruth Holley Library with Pikes Peak Library District staff.
Transport mobile classroom to various locations using your personal vehicle.
Employ Northstar digital curriculum in designing classes on basic computer skills.
Design calendar of classes and technical support workshops.
Coordinate with Catholic Charities' Family Connections Program and other adult services programming to serve clients in those areas in technical support services and for referral to classes.
Design technical support services which are both session-based and one-on-one.
Recruit, train, and retain volunteers to facilitate classes and provide technical support services.
Work with the Marketing & Communications Department to publicize classes and workshops.
Solidify outcomes tracking and structure for reporting outputs and outcomes with management and Performance & Innovation Department.
Procure laptops and other hardware for clients and for mobile classroom, in concert with agency IT specialists, and coordinate their maintenance.
Take charge of on-site computer lab to include procedures for use, arrange for mentoring help as needed, and coordinate maintenance on equipment.

Competencies
Skilled in working with computer and internet technology to include connectivity and troubleshooting minor IT technical challenges.
Ability to instruct adults.
Understanding of adult learning principles.
Ability to work with individuals and families with barriers to stability.
Non-judgmental, respectful approach to working with people of different backgrounds.
Patience and ability to accommodate different learning abilities, especially as relates to technology.

Work Environment
A majority of the assigned duties are performed in an office environment.
The employee is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.

High School diploma/equivalent. Bachelor's degree in the field of sociology, psychology, other social science, business, or education preferred.
Experience working with people with barriers to stability such as economic insecurity, lack of educational opportunity, disability, language barriers, etc.
Experience and expertise with computer and internet technology.
Experience in a teaching environment.
Experience in adult education a plus.
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation to travel to various off-site mobile classroom locations.
Demonstrated self-starter and ability to work independently with little supervision.
Ability and willingness to work within the established structure of Catholic Charities.
Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to apply culturally appropriate skills in interactions with clients, co-workers, volunteers, partner agencies, and other community members.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), problem solving, listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form and maintain positive work relationships.
Occasional evenings and weekends are required to accommodate meetings and special events.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $18.07 - $21.50 $1.00 bilingual differential. Salary is determined based on the applicant's incoming skills and experience, and the budget at time of hiring.
