General Responsibilities
On-Call for Overnights and Weekends
- Operate as a member of the Community Services Division team, managing facility and ensuring the safety of all clients, staff and volunteers.
- Implement daily routines and manage facility cleanliness and order.
- Respond to 24-hour crisis line using crisis intervention, intake, diversion, and referral skills.
- Make sound judgments and provide appropriate client services.
- Respond to emergencies with immediacy following established guidelines.
- Provide a range of case management support services based on client needs.
- Assess client eligibility for various assistance programs and maintain records.
- Complete daily checklists and shift exchanges for program continuity.
- Advocate for clients and provide referrals to community resources.
- Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred in human services.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in social work, crisis intervention, or counseling preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work with individuals and families in crisis situations.
- Ability to work with diverse ethnic, racial, and social backgrounds.
- Ability to provide services to persons in a warm, non-judgmental manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluency in spoken English.
- Passage of background clearance, TB test, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of liability insurance.
