What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant & Toddler Teacher position at Catholic Charities and Careers?
The teacher puts into practice the curricular goals and benchmarks in the classroom. They ensure the safety, development and school readiness of each individual child.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide supervision, guidance and support to children and assistant teachers
- Promote the health, safety and wellbeing of students through a consistent schedule
- Create and implement weekly learning experience plans
- Complete observations and assessments on children's progress and development
- Maintain regular communication and collaboration with families and staff
- Prepare children's daily reports as needed
- Perform routine observations
- Support social/emotional development
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences
- Participate in continuing education
- other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a current CDA credential plus 12 ECE credits
- Willingness to purse higher degree, if not already obtained
REQUIRED:
- Ensure compliance with NAEYC, state, local, and agency policies, regulations and procedures, including meeting classroom ratios
