Position Overview
Full-time and Part-time positions available in our Customer Sales and Service Department.
Position Description
The Customer Sales and Service Representative is responsible for educating and guiding families through the sales process to make informed decisions for cemetery advanced planning and at-need purchases of burial spaces and memorialization products and services. The position requires a highly motivated and dedicated individual, with a strong work ethic, and heightened sense of empathy to be part of our sales and service team.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact person with regard to sales of burial and interment rights.
- Assist families in office and outside on cemetery grounds in selection of appropriate burial sites (plots, crypts/niches) for immediate need and advanced planning.
- Successfully complete sales process with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, recordkeeping, and final arrangements.
- Assist in addressing service issues as the arise, including processing incoming interments and addressing specific questions from families and visitors.
- Responsible for timely and accurate data entry of customer information in database computer system.
- Educate and actively make families aware of related cemetery products, services, and regulations.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and communication timeliness with customers and business contacts.
Qualification Requirements
· US work authorization required.
- High school diploma, college degree preferred.
- At least 2 years sales and/or service experience preferred; cemetery and not-for-profit experience a plus.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
- Customer focus with ability to serve customers with empathy and respect.
- Detail oriented person with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, dependable and efficient verbal, email, and phone communication.
- Ability to physically perform customer sales and service duties both in the office and outside on cemetery grounds.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and a record of safe operation of motor vehicle.
- Some knowledge of Catholic faith and traditions is a plus.
- Reliable in attendance and in performing all roles of position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent computer and office equipment skills.
