Bartender (Daytime/Part-Time)

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, experienced and reliable bartender to join our team at Catherine Rooney's Irish Pub located in Wilmington, Delaware. This position is specifically for weekday daytime shifts, Monday through Friday. The position is ideal if you are looking for consistent part-time hours without late nights or weekends.

As a bartender in this position, you will be the face of our bar, serving food during lunch hours, crafting beverages, serving guests with a smile, and ensuring everyone has a great experience. This position will require a consistent commitment to every Tuesday and Friday (10am-6pm bar shifts) with option to add additional weekday shifts if you are interested in more hours. Prior bartending and food service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Open and fully set up the bar for daily service
• Ensure the bar is stocked, organized, clean and ready for guests
• Provide friendly, attentive service to bar guests throughout lunch and daytime hours
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options with precision.
• Take food and beverage orders from both bar seats and tables in the bar area
• Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service area
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Restock supplies regularly to ensure the bar is fully stocked during the day and setup for night business
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during both daytime and night hours.

Skills

• Prior recent and consistent experience in bartending and hospitality industry roles
• Strong knowledge of food service, bar mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage recipe development.
• Experience with Toast POS systems
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with all guests
• Good time management skills to handle multiple orders quickly while maintaining quality standards.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices related to beverage service.

Pay: $15.00 - $28.46 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
