Job Summary:
As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. You will collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive and engaging environment that promotes learning, growth, and positive social interactions.
Duties:
- Provide attentive care to children, including assisting with daily routines and activities.
- Support children in their educational and recreational pursuits.
- Implement behavior management strategies to foster a positive and respectful atmosphere.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized childcare environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and supervisors regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills as a caregiver.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles.
- Familiarity with childcare practices and techniques.
- Understanding of classroom management strategies.
- Experience in childhood development or related fields is preferred
- Previous involvement in camps, tutoring, or working with students.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week
