Main Purpose of the Role
As a key member of the School leadership team, the Director of Admission is responsible for designing and implementing the School’s annual admission process. This process includes various key components, such as organizing and hosting open houses, school fairs, community networking, parent tours, student visits and screenings, preschool site visits, and parent interviews, to name a few. The Director of Admission also works closely with the Director of Communication & Marketing to design the printed and electronic materials needed in the admission effort, with the School’s Division Directors to make admission decisions, and with the School’s CFO to manage the adjustable tuition award process.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of admission in a manner that reflects and communicates a deep understanding of the School’s mission and distinctive value proposition
- Ensure cohesive messaging in the recruitment, enrollment and retention of students
- Research, track, analyze, and forecast data in order to advise the Head of School and administrative leadership on strategic recruiting objectives
- Ensure a systematic and efficient process for handling applications and communications with potential families, inquiry through enrollment
- Promote a collaborative energy around all functions of the Admission Office, inspiring and coordinating the supportive, organized, and strategic participation of administrative colleagues, faculty members, and parent volunteers
- Remain current on trends in education, all-boys education, Episcopal life, and approaches to independent school admissions
- Proactively manage a team of volunteers who serve as ambassadors for the school, providing ongoing training, keeping the team informed of changes at the school, etc.
- Lead the School’s recruitment of new students strategically, vibrantly, and warmly, fielding inquiries, planning recruitment events and tours
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of School as needed
