Job Summary:

The Industrial Power System Division (IPSD) has an exciting opportunity for a Production Support Specialist in Quality Gate. In this role you will improve product quality, velocity, and cost by aiding the assigned data analysis and work validation. As a Production Support Specialist, you will report to Section Managers and will be assigned to departments within the business to meet customer and company demands in Seguin, Texas.

What you will do:

• Maintain and improve the integrity and reliability of process controls within the production process to ensure customer protection

• Perform Plan / Method Audits of the production processes to ensure critical to customer actions are occurring correctly

• Support Caterpillar Production System continuous improvement activities

• Provide support to quality issues identified on the production line as needed

• Escalate issues to supervisor if not supplier related

• Execute containments as required in an effective manner and communicate results

• Inspect potential non-conforming material

• Execute containments as required in an effective manger and communicate results

• Execute special studies as directed by Section Managers to understand line performance

• All other duties assigned

What you will have:

• Must have previous experience with addressing customer concerns

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of products and assembly tools

• Ability to collaborate with different teams

• Ability to work independently and work in a team environment

• Previous quality experience

• Experience understanding and following Standard Work Instructions

• Experience with PLEX system

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation) :

Shift :

Monday-Thursday, 4:30pm-3:00am. Some occasional overtime on Friday & Saturday
